Saint Louis area car show

There will be a car show Sunday April 20th at the gateway grizzlies ballpark.

OOO!!!! My car is running smooth with the BRAND NEW weber carb and new pertronix magnet. I might consider going. but not promising anything. alot of stuff been going on lately.

How far is that away from fenton? Like mile wise

john yes i i , go 255 south like you are going to memphis, right before you get to the dupo exit.
gtcrazy, it's about 20 miles from fenton, go across jb bridge stay on 255, you will see ballpark on your left.
there will be around 500 cars there.

Weather will be a big factor on this one but maybe yes. What are costs and times. If we go it will be in GT. Could be a nice little sunday drive.

go to kshe95 fill out a form and you have to pay to get your car in by the 16th or it is to late. It is 20 bucks and have to have car entered by 10:30 i'll put my car in if someone else puts theres in the show.

I will have my final decision on the 15 to see weather or not im putting my car into the show. But I will not go if it rains even in i paid to enter it.

Lewis...how's the car doing? What was the noise from the trans you were talking about?

I still havent figured it out because it's been raining so the car has been stranded in the garage. But I personally think its because of the bad transmission mount. Maybe a loose rearend?

But the days I did drive it, it was nice and smooth driving. Best part is that I drove up to fenton 4 times going on back roads, then cruising on back roads everytime, then I went to arnold twice and did a little cruising and she did really good.(except hotter engine gets noiser those stupid lifters chatter) But the moral is that I only had to put 11 bucks in the tank and I mean it was FULL! I could see the gas in the neck thingy. If only my darn fuel sending unit worked

. Oh well I just have to get gas every few miles because since i've been so much work to it I havent even bothered to figure out how many mpgs I get.

I wish I could make it but I currently have the bumpers and electrical disconnected in the back. Are there ever any shows that are not on a Sunday???

Can you register your car at the day of the show?

I will definetely go as long as it aint raining. Since I have no wipers it would be dangerous driving if it was raining.

Would like to try to be one of the first 200 there because you get a dash plaque or something.

Well, bolt-em back on! It is only an Opel, not a 57 Cadillac with a continental kit. (Technically, if it's not on a Lincoln Continental, wouldn't it be called an 'incontinental kit'?)

Nope, no trip to Springfield. More towards Columbia.

If you are interested in it, you might want to make friends with Tom King (goes by the unlikely screenname of 'TomKing'). He is in that area and may be willing to check it out or snag it out from under you (just kidding, there)...but it might be the GT owned by the guy Tom bought a Manta from last year. He might recognize the phone number.

Hi TomKing here. I dont think it is the same guy as this car says it is in Nixa.
There is a rust bucket, parts removed 73? GT about 5 miles from me. Has tranny and engine and glass that is sitting in a guys back yard. I asked him what he wanted for it and he said 200. I laughed and said no way. I think one could buy it for 100 but I am going to pass. If someone wants it let me know and I will work with them.

I went to the KSHE95.com Site. You don't have to pre-register but the cost on day of show is 25.00. From the photo gallery it looks like sunscreen is a good idea, i.e. no cover. Weather is looking possible. Would have to leave home early but I'm leaning towards going. Let's say 80% chance right now.

Oh well its not the looks that counts its that I was able to drive the car there.

Anyways opel john how early do you plan on leaving? I plan on hopefully showing up there at 7:30 so I can get one of those plaques. Cuz lets face the fact i'm not bringing home a trophy ha! So aanyways wheres your location?

We are probably 90mi north on I55. I doubt we'll be there before 9:00 am. Gt has been running good. Had it out every two to four weeks thru the winter. Could use a good going over but I not going to be there for an award anyway so what the heck. AAA will tow me a hundred miles so this will be a good early year test. Plan on driving it to Charlotte in Sept.
