Oldtimershow on Ascension Day
My silver/grey GT can be seen on over more than 10 pictures, standing between a red Firebird with a white roof and a Fiat Abart Rallye 850 with a blocked roof. On the first picture the GT is just visible in the right lower corner. Despite one rainshower it was a great day. Although I didn't win, I got great responses. Most of the time I had the hood open with the headlights half closed so the public could see how the headlight system worked. Made a lot of children (and especially their fathers) very happy by letting them sit behind the steering wheel operating the headlights (of course under supervision). Oh yes, I almost forgot: a 1959 Opel Kapitän won the show. Enjoy the pictures, regards Patrick

Great pictures. It is strange seeing the euro plates on the american cars.
Nice GT pictures.

If you look good you can see that the plates on the American cars differ from the European (Dutch) ones.
The Dutch style plates are 51 x 11 cm, while the American style plates are 31 x 11 cm. The last ones are only allowed when your car papers have the special code "model 18.2" on them. In practice this means that you are only allowed to have them on US imported cars, the main reason is that the normal Dutch plates don't fit in the gap in the bumper which is meant to mount the numberplates. If you use US-style plates on a "normal" non-US car you'll get a fine.

Found some more (professional) pictures on the Internet of the Oldtimerfestival on Ascension Day. Very nice picture of my GT (and myself) together with the Fiat Abarth Rallye 850.
