Yes I'd go for an XL tee shirt again. Last years shirt is great and has been worn many times.

From what I can tell if you go to the event site Route 66 Mother Road Festival there is some info but I'm not sure if they are selling tickets yet. Even my local contacts are saying the new promoters of the event are not getting much info out. I have been told we will have our own Opel class with 3 awards to be given out on Sunday because of our past participation. So all those who can, please do show up. I still plan to do our own awards on Saturday. As far as shirts go if we do them they will be much like last years with some change up in colors. Not sure if I can leave the OMC logo on this year. Also do please get your rooms as early as possible. That way if we do need more we can maybe get them set aside. Glad to see some old timers already on board and some nubies planning to be in Springfield.

The link you posted goes to the promoter "Family Events" web site and then from there you can open and print out the 2008 rt66 .pdf entry form and mail it in via snail mail. No online entering. The promoter has been allowed to tack on a $3 handling fee I don't recall from last year however. I mailed mine in this morning. I'm expecting to have to wait a few weeks to get the tickets sent and info for the event. Last year iirc. they sent out an advance letter informing me my entery had been recieved and the tickets would follow in a few weeks, which is what happened.

Hello Opel community,
I also have been going to the Springfield route 66 for many year I always look forward to seeing the opels at this show.
I always show a Pinto.
But I tell people that are interested in going about the Opels that show up in number to this show as a way of identifying it....
I would be interested in any additional info to the 2008 show as to the changes. I can not access the site or find any info.
Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Which Pinto do you show? I recall looking over two of the Pinto Panel Wagons last year in Springfield with the round side windows. I forget the name of that model but always thought they were cool and would have been the Pinto I would have bought new.

Time is growing short and I feel a bit behind although I think most of what we need is in place. I am going to try and attach a picture of the t-shirts for this year. I am still not sure about the OMC logo. If you want one please contact me by private message with number and size info. Colors will be like last year, white or black, Short or Long Sleeve and Crew neck sweat shirt. Cost should be close to last years but I do not have a hard number yet. If you think you need a room it might be a good idea to get it reserved. I am not sure when they release them to the public. If I am forgetting any info please let me know. Just to let you guys know my Mother is not doing well. If this impacts my ability to attend the meet I may need someone who has been here before to co-ordinate things. Her doctors as of now do not give us much hope past the end of the year and unexpected problems are a real concern.

I'm going thru the same thing with my Mom and I have since November 18th last year. It's a day to day way of life.
I want a crew neck Route 66 long sleeve this year whether I am able to come or not. I'll pay you by check direct or by Paypal. Just let me know the cost.
As you may remember last year, on the 22nd of September - less than a week before the Route 66 show - I had an attempted home invasion which put me in the hospital. Aside from my Mom this year - I have a bout going on with Agent Orange from days gone by in Vietnam but I have put off the lung surgery until after September 11th so I can drive at the Kentucky MotorSpeedway on August 23rd ( gift from family - Richard Petty School) and to attend the Opel Nationals in Concord, North Carolina. I love my Opel Family and I want to participate every chance I get - so I just do because that's all I can do.
I'll be in Springfield hopefully so hang in there and keep your chin up and a smile on your face. You and your wife are a team!!! Thanks for all that you do.

Thanks for posting. I have been a bit distracted. Once again I would suggest anyone who is going to try and make it get your room now. I think they will let them go to public soon. Also let me know about shirts. I may not print more than 20 or 25 this year, if you want a specific type or color now is the time to let me know. I think there may be more info on the event website now.
