If you take 73, you pass through Gilbertsville, home of Zerns, there is a Mc D's there and some other places

OK, I'll leave my house around 6 am Saturday, meet up with Mike in Burlington a few minutes later and head across the river. Should be at Duanes close to 7 am. Karl if you're game PM me and I'll call you.

Duane,

Bring the Manta! I'll be heading up tomorrow afternoon via 422 and 652 from south of Philly. Parts of that route are a nice drive.

Still on for leaving here at 7:00. Who all will be meeting here? Rick, Dave, any other Jersey guys? Are we stopping for breakfast?

I can't believe all you can think about is breakfast!!! Remember I am the one that had a few too many pancakes, bacon, burgers, pasta, meatballs, burgers, steaks, potatoes, etc...

And I only way 270, go figure, I should be about 470.

Yeah, breakfast sounds good!

Roger, what time are you planning on leaving for the show? I'm staying not too far from you, a few blocks from Simpsons Ferry Rd & Wesley Dr.(Mechanicburg/Harrisburg border) I could meet you Sat morning somewhere. I'll PM my cell #. I should be getting into Harrisburg Friday evening.

Duane;

I'd like to join the caravan. When and where can we hook up? I'm leaving work by about noon today. If I don't hear from you, I'll give you a call.

Well it looks like Tom and I will (if all goes well) get there around gate opening time (8 AM).
As far as I can tell we have 7 - 8 opels showing up, soooooo we will do our best to reserve an area (hopefully shady) that we can all fit into.
If someone gets there earlier, try your best to do the same

see ya all tomorrow!

Hey all.....who grabbed my blue and yellow chair that I left??? My wife is very mad since it was hers. I guess I tried to beat the crowd alittle too fast.

How could you forget your chair? Actually I left without mine and realized as I was getting ready to pull out the gate or I would of been in trouble!

Great time, great friends, good tech seminar on replacing a wiper switch, nice caravan from Duane's house with a little fuel stop!

9 Opels, great turnout, got to get Mike into the fold and I can't believe Jim snagged that trophy away from me!

Maybe next year we can get a few more Opels to show up so we can get a bigger tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw a blue and yellow chair sitting by the tree after some of us had pulled out. I thought it might belong to someone in the porsche crowd and didn't think any more of it. You could call them through the deutsche classic site and see if somebody saved it.

It was a great day, good turnout, lots of fun. Great drive home. Tom, thanks again for the olives, and Dave now has his wipers working again. I'd call that a productive day's work.

It was a very nice show. All of the Opels arrived and left under their own power. Some other groups weren't so lucky.

Whoever folded my Opel flag up and put it in my car, Thank you.
Jim: Congrats on the win. I hope the loss of your coolant recovery bottle didn't cause any issues on your way home

I had a great time at the show on Saturday and enjoyed the caravan trip to the show. Thanks to everyone for meeting and driving out together as it always makes it more fun than driving alone. The Waffle House was delicious as always too.

Congratulations to Jim on the win! Your car is very deserving.

Jim;
If you want an official OEM coolant overflow bottle, so that next time the judges won't take away points, PM me, I have one, or two....

Some pretty clever fabrication I admit, from the Merry Pranksters garage and auto body company. I was planning to sit out the competition but was walking the grounds with Karl when the judges came around. Turns out I was glad I won since the plaque was shaped like a paddle and I could whack Jeff and Rick with it.

It was a great day and glad to hear a smooth trip for everyone. Was good to see the gang and meet Mike. Next year Fred says there will be two trophies and asked if we could come up with a couple logos or signature Opel parts for the guy who makes them.

Jim
