This post will probably get removed and I understand why. But just why
again won't certain people in CA (like your governor) allow off shore drilling that would help pay for government services? For some of us without those resources in our states, this just seems foolish not to take advantage of.  To me the citizens safety and welfare would be far more important than any environmental concerns would be. Wonder how long it will be before this posting is nuked?

Got my reservations for La Quinta..
So Hotel/Flight/Car all booked.. see you all there. BTW... will be looking for Manta Parts. Rear Interior Panels (Black) Dash Wing Glass (Not falling or have fallen out of the chrome trim) Amongst other things..

OpelWasp who did start it, was indicating as to why he won't be attending your event. Sadly he did get laid off recently and lives in California. And as I indicated, I'm well aware of the political discussion policy and also indicated I understood if my post was nuked. The reason this is germane to your thread is that the rapidly increasing cost of gasoline again due to increased demand and limited supplies, was one of the large factors in my decision not to attend your event, me also being unemployed.

Besides, you don't even have to own an opel to go to this event. You just have to like, appreciate, or be slightly interested in them.

i was told by some people that the opel guys wouldn't give me the time of day but i figured i would give it a try...it's like when i was a member a a mini club , i had a 72,77 and 82 Austin mini anyway the club didn't want the new BMW mini guys around.... At first then about a year later they gave in and it was a big happy mini family...thanks. i pulled this one out of a wrecking yard and will restore/mod it ... well i guess ill see every one there then...

Rats, haven't missed one since I bought my Opel 4 years ago and now when you get the big one there I gotta go to a crappy wedding that weekend!!!! Grrrr!!!!!!!!

BTW, Marty from San Antonio has brought his '78 Buick "Opel by Isuzu" to our meets for several years now . . . that is, until he parked it about a year or so ago . . . those models are actually Kadett "C"s with a Japanese drivetrain . . .

Everyone, In just a few more weeks..1 1/2...the one and only car show of the year will be held. This is not a car show..but The Car show for OPELs.
We are not afiliated with any other event, we are self sponsered. If you are interested in Opels, well this is the time for Opels and Opel Fun.
