    Hello fellow Opelers and OMC SDOMC members,

    If you are not in the Southern
    California area then please accept out apology
    for this unnecessary message.

    FOR ALL THOSE

    WHO MAY WANT TO ATTEND OUT LAST 2003 EVENT GOOD NEWS

    GREG HOTTINGER,WHO IS ACTIVE DUTY US NAVY UNTIL OCT 11TH,
    IS WILLING TO BUY OMC SDOMC MEMBERS TICKETS TO THIS EVENT "
    CHRYSLER CLASSIC SPEED FESTIVAL NAVY BASE CORONADO "
    at
    A 50% DISCOUNT THROUGH THE MORALE
    WELFARE and
    RECREATION DEPT OF THE NAVY.

    General admission tickets are $17.00 for one day $22.00 for both days

    OUR discount through Greg is $8.50 for one day and ONLY $11.00 for
    BOTH days. WOW !!

    Now in order for this to work we need to act now.

    ALL TICKET MONIES MUST
    BE RECEIVED BY September 27th, so that means dropping a check in the
    mail today or by monday at the latest.
    Checks are payable to Gregory Hottinger as he will be buying the
    tickets in advance for us.

    Since I am the aforementioned Andrew Oransky, I will vouch for Jim's comments. My GT got a lot of attention, and more to the point, the event is awesome. As someone who is too young to have seen them the first time around, I can only say that the sound of 25 or so V8 Trans-Am cars on a rolling start will bring tears to the eyes of any gearhead. The fact that it is an airport course means that you can see the whole track from the bleachers, which is a treat for those of use used to watching in places like Long Beach where the best you can manage is one or two turns.
