2009 Fall AutoFair

It's that time again that I am needing a list of those Opelers that plan to attend the Fall AutoFair September 12th and/or 13th. The AutoFair dates are September 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th with the 12th and 13th the car club show dates.

This should be an interesting Fall AutoFair as the theme is EURO Cars! Although one of our Opels (Dallas Mize) won the AutoFair a few years ago, this is the first time the promoters have decided to make European cars the main theme attraction.

Please let me know "asap" if you plan to attend due to the limited spaces we have been given this Fall. I can get more spaces if needed....

Of course, Hotel Ooooner will be open for business with a BBQ on Friday night and choice of beverage to "wet your whistle".

Just let me know if you need a place to "stretch out" on Friday and Saturday nights. Just bring a sleeping bag and find a place on the floor!

If you prefer a hotel, I can help arraign that for you as well. You will still be invited to the BBQ.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and seeing new faces and Opels!

As soon as you know something, let me know. The passes and admission is Free for those who bring an Opel to the show! The passes go quick so just let me know.

It seems a small wrench has been thrown into the AutoFair mix this Fall. The Fall AutoFair theme (for the first time) is EURO Cars. Since this is muscle car country, it is great that they decided to do this!

The promoters will be placing all the European cars in a special limited space area so they limited how many Euro cars could be there from each Euro club.

This is where it gets tricky.... They limited the Opels to only ten cars due to space requirements. Normally, I can get more spaces and passes for more cars but not this time. Apparently, they are going to put us in a "high profile" area, which is good!

I have a list of people who contacted me yesterday and today who said they would be bringing their cars. Some people contacted me and said that they "may" can come and bring their cars. So I am put in the odd position of letting people know if they get in or not.

So, I will give the ten spots to the ones who are committed "FOR SURE" to come. I will be contacting each of you who have called, sent an e-mail or posted on here to discuss this.

There will be a "waiting list" for those of you who want to come but are not too sure right now. If someone decides they cannot come at the last minute, then the ones on the waiting list will be contacted!

I am really sorry for the limited spaces this time but it is out of my control. Anyone who wants to come to the show without an Opel, is more than welcome to come join in with us at the BBQ on Friday night and go to the show on Saturday! It would be great to have you!
