Antique and Classic Car Show 2008 As added incentive (and since I am "hosting"), once again I offer a delicious Maryland crab cake sandwich to whomever shows up with their Opel and parks near me on the the show field. So, I won't name any names, but it would be nice if some of you---Thomas, Jay, Jim, Charles--got off your lazy asses and join me. (Just kidding about being lazy--it's a joke, no offense intended--I just get lonely year after year all by myself......) Lots of fine cars--mostly American--and other activities for the whole family. All attendies can vote for the "people's choice" car award winner. And, if anyone coming from far away needs a place to crash, I have a very comfortable couch in my living room. less than 3 weeks away
Hey all: I preregistered to save the $5. To be on the show field, chocks and fire extinguisher are required. (They give you chocks if you forget) Don't be bashful about parking on the show field; they are pretty lenient (they let my Opel in every year---have you seen it?)
It's free to attend this show, and I don't remember if they charge for parking....I don't think so, but it may be couple of bucks...don't let that stop you. Hope to see some familiar faces and cars--a few extra Opels would get noticed, and the crowd is always happy to see mine! Mitch real name Manta |

Oooooookay Mitch!
This week I plan to run through all of the finalizing things with my car (Tires, alignment, adjusting and tuning everything). So that means that I should be able to get up to the show. I dont know if they would let mine on the field . . . I have non-stock wheels. Aside from that, most everything else on the car looks stock (little do they know). So if I go in the Opel, I will most likely register at the gate just in case they don't want to let me in.

almost here
hey car lovers: Less than a week out for a really great car show. Italian is the featured country of origin this year. If you are nearby, come out and bring your Opel. Lots of great cars; lots of food; the usual. Cheers.

Mitch,
I'd like to change my water pump and thermostat before I take the drive up there. ( I know that it is only 20 miles, but I just want to be safe rather than sorry). Replacing those two things is apparently pretty straight forward and rather quick to do. Other than that, my wheels are balanced, suspension aligned, oils changed, car registered, and most importantly radio is installed. I also got off from work on Saturday, so expect me to be joining you up there! Jay |
