Nor Cal Opelers, Auburn Cruise Night

Nor Cal Opelers will be attending the final car show night for the Auburn Cruise Night this Friday 11th from 4pm-9pm. It takes place on Lincoln Ave in Auburn, CA. Take highway 80 East toward RENO, NV. Exit on ELM AVE. Turn LEFT on ELM and continue forward to Lincoln.

Other upcoming events include:

A car show in Sonora, CA on Saturday September 19th and possibly a BBQ at OPELGTSOURCE afterwards...more details to come.

Altamont Cruisers will be having a HUGE annual carshow in Livermore, CA on Sunday September 27th. Altamont Cruisers Classic & Custom Car Club- Livermore, CA

Dieter (BMWOnly) has volunteered to host a BBQ and Pool Party in October before we loose our great summer/fall weather...more details to come.

As I've been telling everyone I'm working hard to get the ball rolling again and interest mustered up in our Northern California Opels and Enthusiasts.

The Auburn Cruise Nights was a great success again. The 100 degree weather did not affect the more than 200 classic cars that showed up. Everyone celebrating classic cars of all sorts as well as a tribute to all of our 9-11 victims.

The Nor Cal Opelers also were successful in making new friends with our neighbors, the MG club of Sacramento (with over 100 members!) We look forward to joining them on a run!

We had two GT's (BMWOnly and West Coast GT) along with a new member, the original owner of a Green Kadett Rallye!

I was lucky enough to run into one of those guys who said, "I have one of those in my back yard..." Of course the next day I was at his place and we worked out a deal for me to buy his 1971? very dirty red GT! Ahhh but what a straight rust free body!
