Man let me tell you there were four very nice GT's there today. It was fun to put face to tag names and real life to typing. Before we met him today a lot of us thought host and BBQ specialist lezliwk (Paul) was a high school or early collage type and were suprised to see he is really over thirty! (Almost) Seriously thanks for the food today. Had a good time at the show today. Look forward to seeing all of you again soon.

I had a great time after the show too. Greensmurf in Kermie (that GT is froggie) and me in the pig did a minuet, waltz and finished with a fully HWY ballet. I bet it has been a long time since Indiana roads have seen so many frisky frolicking Opel’s.. 2 cars.. speed limit x2 right?!

Later watching Greensmurf wrench on willy_77 car was a real treat. Nothing like wall propping watching someone else wrench for a change.

Pictures to follow...

i also had a great time at the show, i guess pigs are quicker than frogs, lol. it was really nice to meet more opelers, i've bet 20 in the last 2 weekends, AWESOME. can't go to anymore car shows this year, i got home at 4AM, tried calling home and midnight to tell them i was sleeping at a rest stop for a while, nobody answered, and so carried away parents called cops and reported me missing, they had some idea in their head that i was supposed to be home by midnight, which was never brought up by anyone. cops stopped me 5 miles from my house asking for ID, asking if i've been drinking, or doing drugs and that they were just at my folks house and they're worried sick about me. they asked me to slow it down and they better not clock me doing over 100 again, or they'd hammer me hard, and to have a good night, be safe, and fix my car.

ya calvin, that radiator hose just about gave out on the way home, smoking like a banshee when the cops got me, but she never got too warm, not as warm as your "leg cramps"

Hey that frog jumps.... I about freaked when you went and did the intimidator on me.

Oh no the hose went..Bummer.. The parental units...maybe they will come around.. You weren't drinking or anything..

OF COURSE when I posted about you going ernheart on me and kissing my rear bumper at 110 we were CERTAINLY talking KM not MPH snorkel snicker smirk.. That’s my story and I am sticking to it..

700 miles to do a car show and fix some guys car two states away..(Real states not those dinkie Luxembourg sized ones in the NE) you are a heck of a dude.

My new Opel outfits arrived from Germany today (of course a day late) I will bust em out at the Springfield show which you should go to... invite your dad or something.. Bonding… whatever… just get to that show....

i have never had a drug present in my system, since i havent even tried pot, 100 percent honest too, and i havent had any alchahol in my system for well over a month. this i why him and my mother split, he in quote "makes mountains out of mole hills"

the hose is still on the car, got one coming in the AM, keep dumping water in it and keeping an eye on the temp. the alternator gave out after the cops stopped me too, i'll get that after work tomarrow.

the springfield car show is a deffinate no go, i couldnt get him to any show with me, because he gets clostophobic in the GT for any amount of time longer than a half hour. he's super pissed still and i dont see why really. i called him at 9 pm told him i was just leaving for home and it was a 6 hour drive. i stopped between 12 and 2 and finished driving........3 hours, then 2 1/2 hours including a cop stop, i was making damn good time. of course it was night and the GT was running cooler with that broken hose so 100 all the way home didnt bother it, the faster i got home the less bitching i was gonna get. i did call to tell i was resting at a rest area but nobody answered, so i left a message saying i was. i guess i have a 9PM curfiew i never knew about and i was supposed to be home at 12...i got reemed out for being late because i stopped to sleep. i just dont see where i'm in the wrong, yes, i was in late, but i did inform before and during my trip home. next time you guys see me, it'll be carlisle with a freshly redone GT. fixing some minor paint flaws, getting vynill decals to go on the rockers that'll say "OPEL GT" in white lettering, like the old shelby 350's had . regasketed and repainted motor and the suspension (front and rear) will be removed and painted also, new carpet is gonna be a must. so next time you see me group, i'll have a GT worth showing, its not a show car right now, not close to it. its a good daily driver that looks pretty damn good at 5 foot away, but get close, and you can see stone chips and bubbles. looking forward to seeing you and the pig again calvin, and i hope you can make it willy with the GT, keep working on that list, maybe i can get somebody to stop by my house in their way to 66 to give you your parts.

Your car looks good already it doesn't need any decals... Matter a fact everyones car looked good matter a fact.... they all looked awesome...

will try to get the pics up today am having a bit of trouble with the camera.. remember the duck tape..well i think i will have to add more...

i got that rad hose fixed from the trip, she blew halfway through the trip, about 350 miles worth of driving with a pinhole int he lower radiator hose. got the rear swaybar on, putting the L brackets int he spring buckets ended up being a PITA because the spring was int he way on 0ne side, but i coudlnt change its location because it must match the other side. havent tried it out, its dark and alternator took a dump on me, dont wanna kill the battery by running lights.

the show is friday-sun 9/24-9/26 Big parade friday night and a second parade and soc hop at the staste fairgrounds on sat night. There is the Opel dinner too. (Casual)

tossing grain is very good for your chest.. I have a couple of buddies that did that from Meppen Il who ended up as very good pitchers (triple a) from doing that as their upper bodies became disportanately strong...

I do my grain tossing in brown bottle curls...
