Interior is coming together nicely. Personally I would look for some shallow grills for the speaker locations, I think just having the holes takes away from the overall appearance a little bit. JMO

It's going to be sad to see this thread come to an end as it's been like watching the Opel assembly line. In slow motion perhaps, but very interesting.

I like the wheels but I think it is a lot of contrast. I think maybe if you blacked out the back panel and added a low stripe down the side it would tie the wheels in better. But I know that your not into making changes at this time. Or maybe if you painted the lips of the wheels maybe the center caps or something, just the wheels would pop out and tie the paint in as is better.

I agree on the wheels, actually I told the customer to go with bright silver, but you see where that got me. I do not like the wheel choice at all, but I'm not the one driving the car off into the sunset at the end of the day either. I wouldn't be opposed to adding more contrast, but it would be up to the customer. I think he is ready to get the car back home now.

It's all a matter of opinion I suppose, and we all know what they say about opinions! Given that there's never a lack of opinions here, I'll throw mine out for public consumption. I've always felt that it takes a bold, stark color to support black wheels. That shade of yellow looks great in the earlier photos, but the black wheels suddenly make it look somewhat washed out. Kind of a shame, given the quality of the paint and bodywork. I'm sure it looks great in person, and the high gloss finish of the paint (which is not reflected in the photos) probably helps too, right? I like Tony's idea of an accent stripe or accents on the wheels. Black louvers would help as well.

Keith,
What size are those rims? It looks to me like larger rims could be used to also better fill the wheel well especially with the body trim the way it is. Bigger rims with painted center caps or something would improve the look I think. Matt

. IMNSHO, very few cars and colours work with black wheels, and that shade of yellow coupled with blacked-out wheel wells is a very poor choice to match with black wheels. But with a few $k spent on shiny aluminum wheels with black accents, that could be one of the nicest GT's I have ever seen. Nice job Keith!

So those look to be Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 Wheels. I think that they are a newer style wheel and can make a car look much younger. I would agree, however, that the color choice is a much too muted yellow for the all-black wheel and tire combination. Also, were no lowering springs put on this car? To me, it feels like the wheels are lost in the wheels wells. I dont like the look of big wheels, skinny tires and big wheel wells. Personally, if the car was dropped 1 1/2", I think that it would look killer. (I guess it may not have settled yet either).

It has not settled, rebuilt front suspensions on these Opels seem to take some time. Also I haven't driven the car to help them settle in. No lowing has been done though. Again, I feel myself the car looks unfinished with the wheels. I am going to sneak and put on some 16 inch wheels that I have on the Ultra custom and have the photographer take some with those wheels on one side...ha

One thing I thought would look cool on our car is if you didn't put the side emblems on and painted an L type stripe and had the "OPEL GT" body color through the stripe about where the emblems are supposed to be. Saw it on a Muscle car and thought about it for our cars.

The car looks great but the tire and wheel combo takes away from the body lines and makes the car look unfinished . Hope they let you do something to correct this .
Good Luck with your project . John

Keith;
I have held my opinion till you got a set of different wheels on it, and the difference is like night and day. With the black wheels, the car is too ordinary, and it makes me think of a "ricer" on the cheap. With the chrome wheels, it definitely POPS! It screams... "LOOK AT ME!!!" and definitely makes you want to look further at all the details of the car.

Those wheels are the what was needed to draw the eye to the body lines and make the car look " Like Movement is about to take place "

But, it's going to turn heads just sitting there. The black wheels just ain't gonna do it, but, this is just my opinion
