Well, another update. a short one. I got the other wheel cylinder in and installed. Brakes bled and adjusted. Drive better with better brake feel, no fade. Also had the correct resonator installed today at a local muffler shop, he had to replace some of the exhausr pipe. Looks good!! I'll get a picture posted to the gallery later this week. Next is a front end alignment. But in the mean time I'll work on the interior a bit. Primarily cleaning and rearranging things where they're supposed to be. The Carpet has shifted some and needs more under the dash. I'll get that. And some of the new vinyl needs re-glueing. Should be able to get that done before the 23rd of Aug when I take it to a small local show. The 8th I autocross the Miata again and the week of the 11th I go out of town for work for a couple days. Springfield Missouri this time. Looking forward to the 3rd week of Sept when I go to Germany for a week for work. Autobahn

New Resonator installed

Like I said I would do, I posted pictures of the new resonator. I think it looks good and with the new rubber hangers, it doesn't bang the underside of the car now. Drove it a bit between rain and brakes work without fade, just as they should. Does need the front end aligned desperatly. That's next. I'll probably have to take some time off from work to get that done. And I have to dig up the specs, I have them someplace, just don't remember where I put them. Doubtful they'll have the car in the computer.

Well, still don't have the front end aligned yet. I'll have to take time off from work to get that done. I have use or lose leave that has to be used before the end of the calender year anyway.

Did get a chance to work on a couple other bugs today and fixed them. One was the headlights didn't work. Was reading another forum entry from this site that lead me to the headlight relay. I initially thought it was the roll-over microswitch and wasn't looking forward to replacing it. Ordered a relay from Gil and just put it in. Success! The headlights lights work!!! Next was the wipers, had to rewire the motor and when I put it back together the wipers went down inside the engine compartment before going halfway up and repeat. Took a little trial and error and quite a bit of studying it but finally got it right. Goes up and down and stays on the glass.

Work has been a bit busy lately and I have things scheduled till the end of the year and have too much around the house to do. All the travel I did this year took it's toll around the house. I'm going to have to take a couple days off to get things done around the homestead and I certainly have the leave time. Now the trick is to avoid some of the honey-dos so I can get what I need to get done.

One of the trips I made was to Germany. My first time there, 20 years in the military and I never went to Germany. Had a blast driving a C-Class Mercedes on the autobahn at about 110-115 mph. I know, rather sedate but the guys with me weren't use to it and complained about it so I took it easy. Talked with some people there and told them I had an old Opel GT in the states and they told me they are like gold there. So if I ever sell it maybe I'll ship it there to sell. I estamate that I've been away from home about 6 months since last X-mas and it's only October. I have a trip already scheduled in December to Fresno and rumors about another trip before that. Just more car fund for me as I usually don't eat/drink the full per diem they pay me.
