Look at this new Opel project

I purchased a new Opel project (will sit for some time before I know what I will do with it. I actually was in Opel Southern Territory hard this weekend, and I snuck in under the radar. Anyways the car is all original 77K on it, Flame red 1971 GT and it came with a box of new parts totally over what I paid for the car from GT Source!!! It still had the reciepts. Boy was I surprised. Also there is some strange feeling of this car being connected to my first Opel GT I ever owned and restored....I just cannot place it, but I guess they both were red before I started restoring them, I don't know? Anyways not now, but in some time I will get to wrenching on this car. The previous owner cut the front out for a custom grille and front end, I will have to look into the mods to see what I feel about that. Parts came with Destec Wiring Diagram, New German front Harness (which I make my own anyways) and all the rubber front repro grille, emblem set, grommets-you name it. It will turn into something special possibly.

Hmmm.. Could it have something to do with the "Spyder" in the other trailer?

Well, looks like someone lightened Dallas' herd a little. That GT was a trade in at Dallas' lot. He ordered all that OGTS stuff to get started on a quick resto on it.

The resto

Dallas, from what I was told was going to restore it back to as original as he could, even good used parts from GTs to do it. Then he was so worried that other people would bust him on the nuts-n-bolts part not being correct, or they were not like that syndrome, that he desided to do some custom changes to the front. Not a metalworker, but I could see some books and newer equipment to do some welding, and he attempted (or started) to create some stuff with the front grille area. He made it a point to have every member of the family work on something, even the 3 year old girl helped remove the carpet. So I though that was touching that he wanted to include his family on everything he did. I have to finish up customer pay projects right now, and then When the shop is paid for, and I need something to do...I will play with this car. And I do have some ideas
Keith

While Keith was down here picking up one of Dallas' cars, he stopped by to swap out my ignition and door locks for a matching set and was on hand when another one of his creations rolled over to zero miles! I now have the lowest mileage Opel GT IN THE WORLD ! It occurred to me that that far left zero hasn't seen daylight in ~35 years! We shot some video too which was hilarious because I was driving and filming with Keith doing the shifting since I was out of hands...

If I can figure out how to post it which might be good for me to do that since I have a new Camcorder and still haven't installed the software for it...
