Opelers are where you least expect it!

A funny thing happened today...

I took the GT to work for the first time this spring, and when I parked it next to our offices and got out I got some attention from fellow cooworkers (naturally, who can resist a shiny GT a sunny spring morning?)

Two friends came up and chatted a bit, but then I saw a person storm out of the entrance, running in our direction. When he got closer, I saw it was our CEO and head honcho of the company! He said when he reached the car (and between breaths) "Hey, I THOUGHT i saw a GT through the window!!!"

It turns out he raced factory rally Kadettes in the mid eighties in the top rally league in Sweden, and won too! He demanded that I pop the hood and then (when he noticed my Weber carb) started talking about what tuner cams to use and how to jet the carb for better performance! (plus a WHOLE lot more).

I think I´ll be having quite a few interesting conversations with the CEO in the future! (and he asked if he could possibly take it for a test spin sometime) Today was a good day.

Opelers are everywhere!!!

Great story. The day he takes it for a spin is a good day to ask him for that raise or at least your own place to park that GT.

I'm sure your on your way up the corporate ladder.

With my luck I'd get a decrease in pay if I showed up with my GT at work. A lot of people assume it's an expensive foreign sports car like a Ferrari or a Jaguar.
