There's even a picture of the ultra-rare 5, yes, that's f-i-v-e door Kadett B Wagon. My sister had a Manta EXACTLY like the red Manta A.

I love the photos of the buses, especially the ones with the panoramic roof and tarp sunroof. I've always wanted to find one of them in the states. I often wonder what ever happened to the fire truck that surfaced a couple of years ago.

For those who didn't notice, there is also a winter set. http://seriouswheels.com/cars/top-Op...-of-Winter.htm
Like the GT with chains.

Wow, these are great! I never knew they existed.
It is interesting to put some of the early pics in the context of the post-war German reconstruction. Given what came before, life was moving on and improving for Germans in the 1950s. The themes are traditional, and decidedly more natural than industrial. Anyone notice that the hood line on the gold GT is messed up? Wallpaper time. Hmmm, I am zinking of ze skiing frauleins...

I see some good looking stuff in there, (including the cars) but I'm missing the Ascona A somewheres in there!
