I had a television that would go out from time to time but I had to use a 6 foot stick to hit it.

Congratulations on fixing the problem. It can be frustrating when the car does not perform properly.

The computer or ECU can be repaired or replaced. My first experience was with a Mazda B2200 that would lose all power, but would start back up until one day it wouldn't start back up. I sent it to a place that tested it for free and repaired it for about $200. About 4 years later it started doing it again. I did a search and found the information on do-it-yourself repair of ECU's for about $10. The part that usually causes the problem is a leaky capacitor that is available at electronic shops for a couple dollars and is pretty easy to replace with a soldering gun. Jerry
