Hi, I thought I would explain why i called the Opel Gt a sardine can. I had my 1927 rat rod model T up for sale or trade on craigslist. This guy sent me an email asking if i would be interested in a trade for a Gt 1969 I seen one when I was young and loved the small vet. I have never in 51 years came accross one for sale (must not looked). Anyway I said I wanted to look, he was really wanting to trade for my rod, A 1927 model T roadster mounted on a 1980 chevy luv frame with all the running gear, got 30+ mpg not to talk about all the smiles when we drove it. I was wondering why he wanted to trade because I like the Opel and thought it was worth more than my T bucket. Well he got out of he's pickup than I knew without asking why he wanted to trade, he was a very tall man, too tall to drive the Opel. Ever have a car you couldn't drive because of your size? Well we traded I hope he is happy I am. I have sent him emails telling him about pictures of the T bucket in a hot rod mag, but he doesn't reply. So there it is why i said the GT was a sardine can, luckly I am only 5'8", and the car was made for me lol. I now and forever in love with the Opel GT
