GT in my local junkyard!

Well just for the heck of it I called around to see about a ignition cylinder and keys for my 70, Mainly Because Im bored and freezing in my house, but some salvage yard near me has a 70GT they said they would sell the entire car for $200, they said the body from the outside looked good but they never put it on the rack. Said it ran last year but they have not tried to start it this year. Hey at $200 I think I am going to go look at it.

Also I found 2 GT's in Canada a 69 and a 70 GT In a Canadian Junkyard this guy told me $500 for both and he would ship them to me he said there a lil rough and the 69 doesnt have a steering column in it. But hey $700 for 3 GT's they may be parts or restore but I think I am going to take a look the Canadian ones the gentleman is e-mailing me pics, so we will have to see i will post them as soon as I get them.

Mike,

For $200? nearby? Ya, definitely worth a look. If it's a basket case, you might still be able to get some parts. However, for $200 you can get all the parts and a title. The actual cost is probably over $300 when you factor in the tow charge and DMV. The shipping cost for the ones in Canada kills that deal though. When a wrecker says they're a little rough ... well you can imagine. Jerry

Well, the local one I am definitly looking at. Even if its bad, having a good vin tag and title can be usefull to other"cough" but hey if its got some parts i am probably going to get it, and I can tow it myself and I have a notary person that will hook me up at no charge and jsut pay the state tax. The one in Canada I may take a look at after I see the pics, if I can I will tow them back I am in contact of a 25 foot Car-Hauler trailer I can use at anytime so we shall see.
