Dust Cap On The Front Wheel

As I am finishing rebuilding the front suspension, I re-packed the front wheel bearings this morning and put the new hub seal and new dust cap from OGTS.
I have seen many deformed cap as a result of hammering the cap into a hub.
Having no special tool (as the most of us) I discovered that a piece of ABS plumbing pipe fits exactly around the cap. The installation of a dust cap was than clean and easy.

Thought I might share this with others.

sockets

I use big sockets, but same effect. Remember too, you can ask for both Chevette and Fiero dust caps if you need to source one locally in a pinch, both are interchangeable with the Opel one.
