. . . that is my engine "pre-luber/oiler" that I fabricated specifically for oiling the engine before first firing it up! It's put in where the dizzy goes and the drill drives the shaft turning the oil pump . . . everything is primed and oiled that way! I do this on every build/rebuild . . . that engine is my 1.9 sprint engine, BTW!

Did you make it from an old shaft or did you make the front end your self?
I have a shaft that can't be used because the cogwheel [?tandwiel] is bad, this would be a nice piece of equipment to have in my special Opel-tool toolbox

. . . made completely from scratch, just took bottom end measurements from a dizzy including the centering pilot at the top and machined everything up on a lathe. The aluminum pilot has a bronze "oilite" bushing that the steel shaft runs in . . .

Your "tandwiel" is held in place on your dizzy shaft with a pin that is peened on each end. Just grind off one of those peens and drive the pin out from the ground off end. Then just tap your "tandwiel" off the end of the shaft . . . and, voila, you're in business!

Nice to have the facility to custom make one, and it looks good, but a long shank flat blade screwdriver will do in a pinch by just removing the handle. Chuck it up in your drill and remember to turn it counter-clockwise. You will know when the pump picks up prime, the drill will slow down and the rocker studs will ooze oil into the rocker arm.
