FYI - this one of the few magazines I read almost cover to cover. The writing is fun to read and they cover a wide array of cars. If you go to the bookstore and pull out a subscription card, you can get 1 Year for $12 initially. At renewal, I think it maybe went up to 1 Year for $15. Still a great price.

Thanks, y'all. I haven't seen it yet, need to wait 'til it hits my local store, I'll scan and post it then.

Big Rick scanned me a copy and sent it as a .pdf, looks great Dieter....
and thanks Big Rick![]() Admin note: Sorry guys, I had to remove the attachment of the scan as this issue has just been released and we would not want to upset the folks at Hemmings as they have really supported Opels.

Of course, if I were Dieter I'd be buying up all the copies in Atlanta for sure!

Dieter - my man
I always like to know the "Star" of Hemmings articles. Also, your picture allowed me to show my wife a man with a tolerating wife. I'm starting to warm her to the idea I need just one more Opel.
Excellant article.

Congratulations! Matt

Just got my copy today. Great article! And what a headline! "Dieter Done Gone" (Thank Gott they spelled your name right.
)It's half about Dieter and half about his car. Four page spread and a nice shot of the man himself. Very cool to hear the history of the car also. You did us proud Dieter. By the way Dieter, I know from experience that they'll give you five copies and sell you as many as you want for cheap, like half price as I recall. Believe me, I stocked up about 15 issues when it was my turn. Can we all agree that it's no longer Dieter's fault? We could start blaming Gary for everything. Well done, Jim

just passing thru....
You know, I'm sitting here checking the latest goings on, and I stumble on this thread--thanks Jim for the recent entry---and damn, I look over at my nightstand where my December issue is staring at me with that MGC on the cover.................REALLY REALLY GREAT to see another Opel--and friend--featured in a real magazine.
And this caps off a nice week where I picked up--at our local grocery store--a copy of the Washington Times weekend car section featuring an Opel GT owned by one of our members. So, as soon as I get that Dr. Manta rubber gasket, I can paint my car and lobby for some press. Keep up the good work, and congrats, Dieter! Mitch |

I just read the article. It was a nice article, nice car, and nice leather jacket.

I had to read the article again to understand the roundabout introduction to the car pictured. Now I get it. I think I need to come down for a visit.

Name of Rally legend former car owner
i too read the article. i'm in the process of making a Rallye clone of my 71 kadett and was wondering what performance features that kadett in the article had to make it a winning Rally car. I thought I may be able to find out more by finding whatever information I can on the Rally legend former owner. Anyone? Dieter?
