Matt,
I just sent the reporter from the Washington Times an email to informing him of this site and opelgtsource.com, so the guy in the article would know where to order parts to complete his restore....

I forgot to mention that I also invited the reporter from the Washington Times to drop by Carlisle in May to really get a understanding of what Gary and this group represent.

I read the article and was a little puzzled by this statement.
..."his console is showing signs of age and moved to replace it. That is when, he says, he discovered that in order to replace the console he first had to remove the dashboard. Next, he learned, that prior to pulling out the dashboard the windshield had to be removed. The he was warned that the windshield often cracks during the removal process." I'm thinking that in this instance the term console erroneously means the area under the windshield because that is the part that usually shows age. However, removing it doesn't have to mean removing the windshield. Jerry |

Jerry,
Ya got to think that the reporter writing the article knows little to zip about repairs to the GT..... Right!!! ![]() Lets hope he will consider to cover us in Carlisle. Then we can teach him a few things about our specialty.
