So this is only Opel related because it has to do with where my Opel sleeps (and you get to see it in the background).
For Father's Day I built my dad some swing - out garage doors so that he could hang his canoe up in the garage. Also, the old door he bought when he just bought the house and couldn't afford anything nicer. The garage basically became a tool shed thereafter. When I got my GT, I converted the garage into my makeshift workshop, painting the walls and floor so that it would be brighter, but the door was white and it opened, so that is all that I cared about. So now, since I put a lot of work in to making the garage a more suitable place to operate in, and I will be leaving for college soon enough, my dad figured that he could use the garage as a workshop. I thought that it would be a nice gesture to start the 'shop' off right with some old-style, handmade doors.
This is basically a series of time lapse clips from today that catalog my deconstruction of the old door and construction of the new door jam and doors themselves. By the time I hung the doors it was dark, so I'll post do pics of them hanging in the morning.
