Buick-Opel PR photos

I went to the Hoosier Auto show and swap meet today with the Corvair. While thumbing through a stack of dusty car mags, I found a package of what appears to be Buick public relations B&W glossies from the 60's and 70's. Interesting stuff. Have a look here: http://www.opelgt.com/forums/members...pr-photos.html

All the photos and brochures I have seen of the GT really seem to focus in the "playboy" lifestyle. I was wondering if anyone remembers when the car was first introduced if that was actually the type of person buying them? Or was it people who wished they were that person?

I think everything in the '70s revolved around the Playboy lifestyle . Actually, IMHO, political correctness is all that keeps current manufacturers from using this same marketing approach for cars...
