I remember when the movie Stripes came out in 1981. After Bill Murray heads off to the Army basic training there is a scene of the bus driving into the base with background music. In the parking lot is an Opel GT. I captured the clip on my computer.

    Found a Kadett!

Since Kadetts rule anyway, it's no wonder I found one in "An Eye for an Eye" (German: "Chuck Norris: Der Gigant") from 1981. About an hour into the movie (commercials included). The scene is playing in Chinatown of San Francisco.

In the relatively new Get Smart movie, there is a GT that gets rear ended. Pretty bad smash too.
