Warning from Ebay ad

There is a Cadillac Catera on Ebay, that smells fishy!

Item number is 4642091689. Exactly the same car was on ebay before, around summertime last year. If I remember right, even the same pictures of the car were used. It sold for 12,100 $ (I remember the number, because I was willing to bid up to 12,000 and wasn't home for the end of the auction). Quotes from the current seller:
"Months of hard work and thousands of dollars invested, finally made my dream car possible. Due to a growing family it is officially up for grabs!"
"... and I made sure to keep its original Opel heritage when importing components."
Well, unless the sale last year went bad and this is a re-listing, he didn't do a thing on the Catera, just bought it a few month ago...
I'm not saying that something is wrong with the seller or the car, just be careful if interested!

I do not know anything about the ebay member and if it is bad, but where can I see pictures of that car cause it is looking HOT!

Looks to me that it is a rebaged Cadillac. With an Irmscher kit, and some other goodies. The sellers never makes claim to a grey market import. He's careful in his wording to make it appear as an Opel Irmscher. It's still a nice looking car. But I doubt it's any thing other than a Catera. What do they say? A sheep in wolves clothing.

well he has it listed as a cadillac catera...but it is definately rebadged as an opel...

What Deiter is getting at is not the pedigree of the car itself, but rather that the same car (I know, I watched and drooled last time) sold last year.
Either the deal didn't go through and this is the original owner relisting....or someone has 'cloned' the details and is scamming...buyer beware!
It's a Catera with Omega trim and some Irmscher goodies.

i guess the best way to find out is ask the seller for a pic that he doesnt have listed and see if u actually get it...
