Unanswered: Performance Camshaft for 2001 Opel Vectra Elegance Ecotec 1.8l.
Im just wondering would any of you know where to get a performance camshaft for a 2001 Opel Vectra Elegance Ecotec 1.8l. We're making a 4 into 4 unsilenced straight through exhaust system and were looking for a cam with higher, more aggressive lift and a fair bit of overlap, and Roughness at idle is a plus!! Also, would High compression pistons be worth the cost and bother?? Thanks |

Us folks in North America can't help you much here, they stopped importing Opels to us in 1975!
Have you tried some of the UK suppliers such as Kent or Piper? Or Bill Blydenstein? Bob |

I was in Ireland last September. As we were leaving Salthill, I saw the one and only classic Opel that I observed all week. It was a mostly original Opel GT, white with a black hood and black tail. It really stuck out becuase it was left hand drive. BTW, Galway was our favorite (er, favourite) city and Salthill was a great place to spend the night.
