Opel Rekord C DOHC 16V ! ! !

Hy,

I'am starting the following project. On my Opel Rekord C, i want to fit a C20XE Calibra engine with a Omega 2.0i 5 speeds gearbox, 4.22 diff.
I'am also planning to get rid of the SFi electonic injection and run the engine with twin 45's. I have to keep the ignition system of course.

Does anyone have any sugestions or ideeas about this project ???

Have anyone tested a C20Xe on carbs until now ???
The ignition system is hooked up with the ECU ??? How i can fool the ignition system to work standalone ???

I'am now searching junkyards for a C20Xe in good conditions . . . .
