Anybody know fit these will work or how they may differ from the PH966B?

Fram filters.
Paul,
Check the thread pattern on the filter. It could be that they are different from the 966B. It may thread on, but make certin the threads are tight and not loose after a turn or two. If so, they may have a standard thread and even thought they fit up, they will be loose on the threads and could loosen under vibration. Just a thought. And another thought. Some filters have an internal pressure relief by-pass valve and also some has an anti drain back valve feature. Don`t know how it is in those filters you mentioned. Just a thought.

The 3614 is the same as the 966B. The 3614 allso fits the first gen Neon. If you look up the Opel and Neon oil filter in an STP catalog, the number will be the same.......

Fram PH3614 Oil Filter
Been using Fram PH 3614 for a few years on my GT. Fram Filters are Nice has a grip coating on end of filter for easy removal/install. At Walmart I always pick up a few at a time.
Try to get the Napa store to match one, might be there all day.

From my research Fram are junk. I stick to Mobil(M1102) or Bosch(3330). Mobil have stood up to testing best and Bosch are good too. Sucks Mobil cost abot $10 each.

WIX 51364 1.9 eng. except GT NAPA 1364 1.9 eng. except GT Note: NAPA doesn't use the first number from the PN of the WIX filters. You may also go to the WIX website for applications and cross referencing different brands of filters. Harold |

On a tight (non-Bosch or Mobil) budget, AC Delco and Purolator are inexpensive and of decent to above-average build quality. I avoid Fram like the plague. -Kurt Last edited by Opelkurt; 01-07-2007 at 10:57 AM. |

According to Summit racing, the K&N KNN-HP1002 and AC Delco ACF-PF53 fit the 71 Opel GT 1.9L.
