GT pilot bearing compatible with S-10 2.8

i just put a trans in my friends 89 s-10 blazer with a 2.8 5 speed. its a borg warner transmission and i had a extra pilot bearing lying in the barn, brand new for my GT, and his truck didnt even have one, maybe thats why his old trans was junk. surprisingly enough, the Opel pilot bearing fit the input shaft perfect, and it tapped into the crank with a socket nice and snug. so i figure if a Opel pilot bearing works in the s-10 5 speeds, then the s-10 pilot bearing would work in a opel. thought i'd be usefull to somebody since parts for s-10 and blazer are alot easier to get than Opel parts, and it'd prevent a 3 day wait from OGTS to get one, when autozone down town will have a cheaper one for you!!!
