Group Buy of NEW CIH Head Bolts (Thread Closed, go to New Thread)
I don't believe they are readily available anymore, although the OEM bolts can be used many times before they are susceptible to stretch. He is getting me a price for a Group Buy, of at least 10 sets. That is enough bolts for 14 engines. I would like to know if there is any interest in these bolts. The price should be no more than $20 USD for the required 10 bolts, plus shipping. And that is the real wrinkle, as shipping can be steep on items from the UK. If you have any suggestions of the "best" way to ship, please let me know. One way to cut costs further would be for one of our Brit members to act as a go-between to eliminate the secondary shipping cost (Canada to the US is also a bit pricey). I would be willing to front the cost to expedite the process, so long as I don't lose my shirt. Please respond if you think this has merit, if you are interested, and if you have ideas for shipping. And if you speak with a funny accent and have the time to become a bolt warehouse. TIA To make it easier for me to track what folks want, please fill in your order using the "poll" choices above. If you want to see what others have ordered, just click on the "number" in one of the poll selections

Keith, Put me down for 1 set, and let us know where to send the money to. Baz, would you like to act as a go-between? Thanks, Jarrell

Of course you are welcome to buy these directly. But I saw a couple sets sell through the regular auction process for £4.99 (about $10 USD) and he says he will give a substantial discount on a bigger order. Jim, did you get a break in the price?

Why don't we set up a date to come up with a final number. Contact the seller and see what kind of group buy price we can come up with and put a deadline on payment + shipping cost to the States. Then we can get our money to a designated "volunteer" and get this show on the road. I am not in a great hurry for the bolts but at least I can have a date to work with. I know that if I don't have some timeline then I put things on the back burner and they become less important. Thanks, Mike |
