Unanswered: Braking power
Just finished the final brake upgrade on my car and I now have real brakes. It did require a few days work to remove the hood, left headlight assembly and work out all the bugs but the stopping power is phenomenal. I used a 9" booster from a BMW 325I which bolts right up with no mods. The master cylinder is a 24mm unit from a Mitsubishi Eclipse which had to drill two holes to mount on the booster. The BMW booster moves the master cylinder forward 35mm so a remote mount reservoir was used. The vehicle now stops flat without any effort and 60-0 times were reduced substantially. Pics are below.

The Booster is from any E30 type BMW, the bolt pattern is the same as the Opel unit. You just have to make the turn buckle to attach it to the rod. The booster provides up to 700Lbs of support, versus the 500lbs supplied by the Opel unit @18 inches of vacuum. Makes the pedal nice and hard up top but takes no effort to quickly stop the car.

Do you know/remember what the diameter of the MC "inlet" is, where the connectors stick in? Dieter

The M/C is a 7/8" bore unit and the plastic fluid input port come with the unit. Both 10x1.0mm output ports are on top, the front is a short one and the rear is the tall one. You can't use this unit with stock brakes, you will get a short pedal travel but very little pressure. I need it because I have 4-wheel disks and the rear floating calipers have 80mm pistons which require larger fluid delivery to operate.
I was really knocked out with the results, my Opel brakes are now comparable to the brakes on my Cayene.

Yes, it will improve pedal performanceand feel since it will require less effort to operate.
