Rubber Spring Spacers

Just recieved a pair of rubber spacers that go on the ends of the centre leaf of the front spring and allow it to slide on the other two leaves nicely.
Repro item from Jürgen Heiß in New Mexico - got them on eBay. He also supplies a new belows for the windscreen washer foot pump.

Would polyurethane be better for this application who would it really matter?

I don't think poly would benifit in this place. I also have a set of these and feel they are a great product. I feel anything is better than some of the bushings I was forced to reuse, as they crumble up or are hard to reinstall after removing.

Poly would have to be lubed with silicone grease or it would squeek & squark.
The original rubber ones lated 100,000 miles dry as a bone ...
Replica ones I have are made of slick, shiny surfaced rubber with quite a high Shore hardness. Look perfect to me!
