A six pot caliper is probably overkill. Most are designed for larger diameter rotors, so the pads will have a different size and outer radius. On these very large pads, there can be some benefit to a 6-pot caliper as the clamping pressure will be more evenly distributed over the large surface area of the pad.

I have fitted a 10.5" diameter racing rotor under a 13" wheel before. Opel however, homologated a 10.75" rotor for the old Group 2 Ascona-A rally cars, and for the Group 4 Conrero GT's. I suspect very few 13" wheels will clear those rotors, and the calipers must be carefully chosen as well.

Another rotor I've adapted was a 10.25" Chrysler rotor from a 1984 Omni Turbo. It required a custom spacer and some machining, but I was able to offset the rotor enough to clear most 13" wheels, even some of the steel ones.

sorry Bob looks like we post at the same time

here is the link -- it almost looks like the pistons are different sizes

Yup, different piston diameters to reduce pad taper (wear).

Those are 11.1" diameter rotors, with minimal caliper offset. Definitely won't fit 13" wheels! Looks like they're for 15" minimum.

If you simply 'must' have 6-pot calipers, then KAD makes some that are designed for smaller cars with 13" wheels.
