Unanswered: Rear Disk Conversion Back Plates
I am converting my GT to Disc rear.. part of the conversion process requires the cutting down of the old drum back plates. Rather than do this i have had some new ones laser cut. I had to get a few sets made so am selling on the ones i dont need .. ebay item 250233901629 if you need a set , or email me direct and i'll do you the non ebay fees price. I will also be getting some caliper brackets cut soon as the ones i purchased are not unfortunately as good as i had hoped so will be reverting to my own design.. I will have some extra sets of those so drop me a line if you might be after a set at some point in the near future and i'll let you know costs etc. thanks all |

rear disc brakes
Conversion looks real good, what provisions have you come up with for a e-brake conection. Here you are required to have an operating e-brake in order for the car to pass inspection for roadability.

Thanks for the comments.
The calipers are from Vauxhall Astra Mk4 and have mechanical handbrake mechanism. I havent fitted the cable yet but will probably use a Corsa one, it being a slightly smaller car than the Astra , and the later, larger engined models also had rear disc set up so i think will be a suitable donor. |
