Unanswered: Manta Front suspension upgradable?

I have a 1974 Opel Manta project ( see TAStiger pictures). Can I upgrade the front suspension to lower A-arms, instead of the single arm and sway-bar it has now? I think I heard the GT has an upper and lower A-arm set up, is this true, and can it be adapted to the Manta?

It probably wouldn't be an "upgrade", the Manta is an excellent handling car as-is. Certainly a much better handling car than the GT.

Totally Different

Two totally different suspension types - the parts are not interchangable.

The GT/KadettA/B suspension is totally different. The Model 50 series suspension (Manta A and Ascona A) is a better suspension. I believe you can fairly easily swap in a Kadett C lower control arm and sway bar, but it requires some fabrication. The one good reason that I can think of to do this is to be able to adjust/change the front sway bar more easily.

Why do you want to change the Manta lower control arm??

Regards,
Mark B.
