i have sourced the volvo calipers i need
but need to know the type/size of fitting for the end of the new brake hose (where it joins to the copper brake pipe from master cylinder on car body) i know that the hose needs to go from the 2 fittings on the caliper then through a 2 in to one connector then into one brake hose. does any one know the legnth this hose needs to be.

I don't know about your question, and may not be much help, but I do remeber reading something about a drilling procedure on the Volvo calipers to where a "Y" fitting may not be needed. A member on here may know more about this that goes by the name Blancojp. Check some of his posts, it might have the info, or it may be on the web somewhere on a foriegn site. I know I read about how to do it, as I have a set of those calipers somewhere. Ment to look for them for you.
I also saved various BMW cylinders and reservoirs, but don't know what models they were for, just went with ATE brand parts

Over the years I made and sold a kit for these calipers which used the single Opel stock hose. The problem is the tight location of the components and the dual hose will not help.

Volvo uses two solid lines which wrap themselves on the strut and connect to two individual hoses. The hoses are then connected to another solid line which in turn is connected to the "Y" manifold. The volvo hoses are about 3" too long for the Opel so the installation will be too bulky.

I posted several brake systems and also a thread called "Volvo 4-pot caliper install" which shows how to do it the easy way.

If you need any help getting this done let me know.
