i know there are no "strut towers" on my opel, but i could not find any better description.
![]() my plan is to build coilovers, but since removing the leafspring will remove some stability i would like something that help prevent that. |

Your biggest stability issue won't be side to side it will be front to back. There is no support for the suspension. The best way would be to weld in support tubes to a new thicker shock mount. The support tubes could be secured to the firewall and the radiator wall. That is the rout I plan to go. If you install the new thicker shock mount you could remove the fan and put a pusher fan in front of the radiatoor. Then you could bend a shock tower brace around the front of the engine. Another plan of mine.

I doubt the Z bars would do it. You still have the stresses and flexing on the shock mount which was not designed for it. That is why strut bars were designed.
