To count, the Opel must be complete...well at least 90% there...so parts cars count as long as you haven't stripped off anything major. Anything that has been reduced to component form...i.e. a VIN tag on a nail in the workshop...does not count!

Hmmm...it appears I'm too dumb to figure out how to edit the poll options....Gary...help...
I guess the other option should read: 0- I'm an Opel virgin..please be gentle with me......

The first step is recognizing that you have a problem!
I currently have six Opels.
I would love to reduce the inventory to three. They are: Rallye Red early '69 GT, flat rear panel, split front bumper with trailer hitch! Rallye Gold '71 GT with buckskin interior. Rallye Gold '73 GT with saddle interior and ARA A.C. GT Metallic Green '69 original Italian market GT imported from Italy. Strato Blue '73 GT with ARA A.C. '73 Manta Blue Max The last three are my "keepers", while the first three are "on the bubble". This is not a sales pitch, so much as a cry for help! I sometimes feel like the male equivalent of a "cat lady"! Jonzo

I just have 2 GTs and 1 Manta right now. Only one running and rolling, that's the problem.
Next is either another Manta or 2 Dr Ascona, and then I guess I'd have to get a Kadett Fastback to round out my collection. I'd like to have one stockish GT, one heavily modified GT, one stockish Manta, one heavily modified Manta, one heavily modified 2dr Ascona, and a Kadett Fastback. Would love to have a Manta or GT with an engine swap but I'm not going to attempt it, so I'll have to hope that one falls in my lap.

My uncle and my grandfather. Always been around them. Actually, one of earliest memories is being in an accident in my mom's manta. I remember it being hauled away.

So this is only ones we have now, not ones we have had then? Damn, I've been out Opeled!
I should start a similar poll for cars made before 1970,. then I'd be on top!

Yeah, but now that that one is finished, we need to get you another. That's how it works. How about a Manta next? I think that John Lewis is itching to put a Grand National motor in something.

They would only let me vote once in the POLE so what happens when you have more than 15, do they put you in the mental hospital? I have 6 Kadetts one is a wagon, 6 Mantas, 3 Asconas, one is a wagon, and GT's can I use my fingers, toes and fingers again to count them? 22 GT's at best count sitting in here at the computer, then there are 4 GT's and a Kadett that I am working on for some friends. And parts for at least another 5 or 6 GT's, I know those 9 or 10 don't count. And I was thinking I needed to add one more GT that was offered to me for $1500, but I don't know where I would park it, oh and I forgot to add the 2 Buick / Opels by Isuzu. I need to to join an Opel Club some where, Oh I am already in one, thats what the problem is every thing is big in TEXAS!! I am totally insane, insane , insane , i n s a n e . . . . . . . . HELP ME!!!

I'm brand new to Opels and just bought my first one a few days ago. You can see the pictures here.

Your level of obsession has made mine look much smaller. It is a matter of perspective! Now instead of saying "I have TEN Opels I'll just say "Oh, I ONLY have ten Opels.

Number of Opels
After reading the list of double digit Opel Owners, I started to feel a little deprived (or depraved). I've only got two, a 73 Manta Luxus and a 71 GT undergoing the restoration process. The birdhouse doesn't count since it is almost stripped. I could stand to have another GT ... or two...or three, or six... or a Manta Rallye ... or two... or three... or six. . . OMG! I think I'm suffering from OPELITIS!!!!!!

I wouldn't mind having another Opel and definitely something other than a GT but it will be a few years before the wife recovers from the last little project .Matt

Only one now...
I have just the one Manta currently. I am already looking for another, unbenowenced to my wunderful, beautiful wife. Unfortunetly it isn't in running order and i am on the hunt for a donor as this body is in good shape.
I also had a GT in High School which got the Opelitis in my blood. I had to give it up when I went into the Navy. My parents wouldn't store it and I had no other place to keep it. I wanted another one ever since!! Dean

I have 4 GTs and would have 5 if money and space allowed. I'm kicking myself right now for not jumping on that gold 73 model in St. Louis with 36,000 miles that was on here yesterday. I called both the owner and the guy selling it for him, and schemed for days on how to get it. It would have, however, affectively broke me. But, what the hell.

Methinks the tile of this thread is erroneous. It should read "How Many Is Enuff". Then I can truthfully respond, "ONE". Willit? has consumed 7 years of my existance and put me in some financial distress and is continuing to do so, but not as bad lately, and I wouldn't change any of it. I have made some trully fantastic friends, both in person and on this site. There is no price that can be attached to that. The miles per smile I have received, along with the many thumbs up while driving cannot be discounted. That and the occasional look of disbelief when I leave a so called muscle car sitting at the lights cannot have a price tag placed on it. Yeah, for me one is definatley enuff, but man oh man, this one has turned out better than I could have thunk.

I only have 1 at the moment and still thinking about number 2. I know that I can only drive 1 at a time but I don't think I can help myself. I have also owned 3 previous, 2 Astras and 1 Calibra.
I was also thinking that if this was a s*x comparison study I would feel very inadequate.
