# of GTs per year
I've had the same 1973 GT since it was new. It always was the "spare" in the family after 1980 when I retired it. When the kids were done it sat in my garage for 7 years, (being started every once in a while.) I just restored it in 2004-05. Of course, it's always a work-in-progress . . .

Howdy all!
I have three Opel Gt's: 1) 1970 white GT with a 1.8L Ford Essex engine/T5. 2) 1972 white GT with a 4.0L Buick V-6 engine/th350 auto. 3) 1973 white GT with a 2.5L Chevy engine/700r4 auto, A/C. I also have several GT's that belong to customers in less than favorable condition. |

Spouse says too many!
as of this weekend 16 and a loose front clip. What can I say, It was there, Ive got the room, and parts are getting hard to find.
So 16 1/2? 1 running '73, a repairable '69, and if some of the ones I've seen on ebay are to be believed a second repairable '69. I need help....is there a pill I can take? Will Blue cross cover it? |

Poll response
I do not currently own a GT. I've had three in the past. I live in an apartment, and really need to move so I can have a garage (so I can have toys.)
I've owned: 1970 Rusty (first car I ever bought myself.) Sold it, bought it back and sold it again. 1972 Rusty. Bought as a project that I did not complete. Junked. 1973 Very nice mild custom (leather interior, wheels and paint.) Ex-wife lunched the engine and insisted on selling it. |

one 73 Opel Gt Forest green, daily driver
two 72's Opel Gt's both getting new engines headliners window gasket and paint one 71 Opel Gt has ARA setup but not working needs a belt adjuster, rest is there. one 70 Opel Gt yellow no engine or tranny in it have one setting in garage for it. two 69's Opel Gt's both flat panel back one has split bumper none are going to crusher, all but possible one 69 will be highway worthy. only voted once, before it had multiple entries, but it does not allow me now to go back and add other cars. far as I know all are HC engines the 73 not sure what it has but it runs nice it was rebuilt before I got it by PO |

If everything seems to be going well you have obviously overlooked something.

Got my first GT, a euro 72, about 2 years ago after longing for one for a long time. Runs well but will need a good going over in the future. Will have to get another one to drive while this is going on. I'm more hooked than ever on the GT. Maybe I need therapy, thank god I can't afford therapy.
