We voted in the poll, but since it will allow us to vote only once for each year, the poll will be a bit inaccurate since we own 2 '70 GT's and 2 '72 GT's.

I own a '69 GT and on Thursday am going to become the proud owner of ............. another '69 GT.

I'm just sitting here laughing as I've just figured out that this will be our 6th GT.......thank goddness my wife is so understanding

In fact thank goddness my mum is so understanding as without her my dad would never have bought his first GT.....and his now on his third.

So it looks like this:

My collection:

1969 Models - 3 (2 still owned)
1970 Models - 1
1971 Models - 1
1973 Models - 1

My dads collection:

1971 Models - 1
1972 Models - 1
1973 Models - 1 (still owned)

If only I could find a '69 then we'd have a Full House.

Actually Gary, it's my second GT. I bought one back in '95 or so, drove it to my shop, and it sat for years. When I closed my shop, I gave it away to Jim MacMahon (Opel racer).

But with a rust free GT, I'm not so freaked out about working on one. Sure it needs wiring and everything else, but at least there's no body rot to deal with.

I currently only have the one black '73 GT.

But if all goes as planned I should have a '71 parts car next week. (With any luck and no intervention from "wiser" folk, I would like to part out the '71 until the '73 is done, and then take the shell of the '71 and turn that into the autocrosser of my dreams, I think my Integra is toast).

I would also like to find a Manta and a Kadett Wagon (I have a soft spot for wagons).

I need to find a job that pays more money but doesn't require me to show up.

I must be the opposite of Bob.

I now own my first Manta.

I've had over 30 GT's, mostly between the years of 92 and 97 when I was buying GTs for 500 and selling for 1500 because there was just an unbelievable supply of good cars that needed the 4 lugs in the fuse block cleaned to make them run. Seriously, I bought and sold many a GT from the Dallas, TX with only an electrical fix.

So now 1 manta, and my one GT body only from high school back in 93.

I do have a job that pays me even if I don't go to work. Its just that it won't last forever if I don't work.

1972ACGT
I had a
'71 in '88-'91
2 '70s '92-'95
and my latest
a '72 that I restored to look just like my 1st, because I miss it and seriously regret selling it. Its a keeper. I could see getting another, if I could find a decent project in that weird tacky metallic green that I like so much.

Looks like 70 is the hot year. I got my 73 GT in 1977. Still have it, and it will be back on the road soon Guess I just got to keep it.

I started with a 72 Manta Rallye(auto), then got at 74 Manta Luxus(stole the gauges out of the Rallye and put them in the Luxus). Sold the 72 in 1981 and sold the other in 1983 and bought a 72 GT which I still have. I would like another GT or Manta but I don't have the room.

Summary

72 Manta Rallye(sold)
74 Manta Luxus(sold)
72 GT(Still have!!!)

Got my first GT, a 71, in 81 as a daily driver, was more gas efficient than my van. In 83, I was #5 in a 10 car pile-up on I-5, two days later I got my current 72 GT with AC and the V-6/T-5 mod in progress. Soon, real soon.
