The Wayne County Opel GT...

Hello All,

This will probably interest the Drag Racing community the most, but I did some research and found out tonite that Todd Patterson was the last owner of the fabled "Wayne County" Opel GT that ran B/Gas in the late seventies up until the mid-eighties. The class is now part of Competition Eliminator in NHRA and Todd still competes with a Street Roadster.

WELL...Todd Patterson races in my "backyard" and I've visited with him on occasion, without ever the mention of an Opel GT! He's a mainstay here in NHRA Div. 5 and, if given a chance, I hope to run into him while at Great Bend, KS here in about three weeks! Hopefully I can gain some insight on racing my little rascal!
