ITB Opel GT Finished.....Well you get the idea

Spot, as we have named the ITB Opel GT is up at the race shop having new belts installed, its cage stamped and getting it's log book. If I can get off my rear and get my paperwork sent up to the SCCA I hope to give it a test run at an early solo, then do the first race of the season at Gateway. I think that there are quite a few Opel guys around the mid west so you might get to see old Spot running at Gateway,Hallett,MAM, and Topeka. Plans are to run the existing stuff this year and next year in ITB (If the junk yard motor will hold together that long) sort out the bugs then move up to LP....if the car is classed in LP, (I have not checked out that yet)

cool man! Good luck to ya! Try to get some photos of her in action on the track. This is the ""Gulf GT"? Sure wish I could come see you race.

Yep it is the Gulf GT. I will have all kinds of pics and video in car and out. From what I understand it is attracting attn. at the shop. I realy want to make the first gateway race this year....I gotta get on the ball.

Cool....now we need to see more pics! Have you added any more to your photo gallery recently? I really think we should start a photo gallery here just of Opel racecars. Gary?

I will try to post up some pics. I am thinking of a few before and after. It can show just how far that $600 car has come.

I am in the process of uploading some pics to the new gallery...boy I hate dial-up.

Looking at these old pics gives me a big flash back, >WOW that car was in tough shape, talk about bring the dead back to life. This car was full of rust and was full of holes. It only took 3 years and I don't want to know how much $$ to get it to where it is now. Hopefully it will run as good as it looks.
