I too have several dual carb manifolds I can sell. One is a one piece English made unit that is what I ran with dual webers on my FP Opel GT. The other is individual carb (two piece) Cannon that's similar to the Steinmetz "dual" I run in GTLites. If you are interested in either or both contact me at 915-204-3520
or sczacki@utep.edu. I'll be around the phone through the weekend, but will not see email messages till Monday pm. Stan Czacki |

TWM manifolds
of all the 'off the shelf' manifolds, the TWM and the Magnoletsi flow the best.
Mr. Pierce of Pierce Manifolds mentioned being willing to make a small batch of manifolds for the Opel GT a couple of months ago. No $ was discussed but someone would have to purchase 10 at a time. I would be willing to buy one.

Mangoletsi
Pierce Manifolds was the stockist for the "English" Mangoletsi manifolds.
True, but it appears Mangoletsi will not produce anymore of the sidedrafts for a 1.9L Opel GT. Pierce Manifold attempted to obtain one of these for me a couple of months ago. Pierce Manifold purchased the intake manifold business of TWM a while back and discontinued producing both the Pierce manifold and the TWM manifold for the 1.9L Opel GT engine.

Discontinued Items
Weber and Dell Orto have ceased production of their carburettors too so it looks like finding these items new is going to get harder and harder. We will have to rely upon word of mouth and eBay to find side draft set ups for our Opels! Has anyone used twin 1 3/4" SU carbs on a CIH Opel motor?

Well this certainly sucks....
So we lost TWM, Magnoletsi and Cannon intakes for Opels in one fell swoop? Guess I'll be building my own from now on.

its a double wound spring washer to absorb vibration but you dont squash it all the way down so the spring works +nylock nuts

I have seen a lot of talk on this topic lately which has peaked my interest on improving my GT performance. My Haynes Techbook Weber manual indicates the 40 DCOE 2 for the OPEL GT 1900, however with all these suppliers discontinuing intake manifolds for the single/twin setups, what other intakes are compatible (model number and name) for our cars?
