Rob, I talked to one of the co-ordinators for the Targa 3 years ago. He already gave me an approval for entering an Opel...he liked the idea of an 'odd' car showing up, much better than some of the new cars that run it! I'm currently working on the rally Ascona chassis (putting in the rollcage) every night 'til midnight or so.

So....if I need a co-driver, you up for it?

Not only am I up for it....Derek has instantly volunteered to run the support barge...
...My little stint last year as co in the nav rallies means I even know which end of a tulip is which!

Cool. I already have all the suspension done for the car, and I built a 'quick-release' tarmac suspension for the car at the same time I built the gravel suspension....basically I can add the sway bars front and rear in under 10 minutes. Just need to get a set of 13 x 8 Superlites to compliment the tarmac tires.

I can see it now...'RallyBob' and 'RallyRob' on the back of our driving suits.
