Now that's my kind of Manta...
How come these great finds are always so far away?
I hope somebody who can put this car to good use will jump on it!

Looks like two different cars. The blue one is GT-4, and looks to be in better shape than the purple F-P. Different air dam, different rear wheel arches, different front (headlights are covered on the blue one, wire mesh on the purple one) I like the looks of the blue one, and would like more pictures of it.

It is quite amazing how many Opel Race Cars are about still - nice to see them being sold rather than hidden away ... or scrapped!

It does look like the blue car is a different one - all the other pics show the purple paint .....

The blue car is what it looked like when it was first made for racing. Its maroon now. It can be like the blue picture again

I went and looked at this car with jerseyopel when it was for sale in NJ. It sold on ebay last year. You can email us with what we thought.

y not just post it here so everyone knows...there shouldnt be anything to hide about it, and if some disagree they can go look at it on there own and find out for sure...

I'm kinda surprised it was not listed here as well. The current owner has been on these forums before, and she even contacted me last year via e-mail about parts and some tech info (I knew the previous owner/carbuilder as well). Probably would have a more captive audience here I'd think?

The car is being sold through a broker on EBay - "list it and walk away with the money" - is their blurb.
Guess the present owner just wants it gone with minimum hassles?

It was posted here for sale. Thats where I saw it. I cant remember what it sold for on ebay.....$400 rings a bell. In my opinion, the car was worth about $200-$300. Jersey opel maybe you can eloborate on this.

To somebody who wants to go racing that car is worth one heck of a lot more than $300.
To start from scratch (with an old dead Manta) to get race-able would cost thousands.
Granted, to the purists it is just junk. To a racer most of the work is done.
I see the price has skyrocketed, over two hundred!
