OT: Hard to find. BMW e28 models cars.

For those of you who collect models. I know a few of you here have
e-28 5 series cars, like myself.
On the e28 message board I belong to, There is a guy offering up some really hard to find BMW models of the 5 series. At $29.95 including shipping that's not a bad deal. Just passing this on.

Are the early BMW model wheels interchangable with the Opel models?

The early 4 lug will fit. They were 4 x100. The 5 lug were 5x120. You should still check offset and tire size.

I thought you were hijacking my thread. Now that I understand. you still need to check the offset, as this is still important.

Depends on which Getrag you're talking about. Getrag 240 is Opel CIH specific and has an integral bell housing, so the BMW 245 will not work because of different bell housing bolt pattern.

The Getrag 265 (240's big brother and separate, bolt-on bell housing) will work . . . with the Opel bell housing, of course.

ahh the subtle German humor.... don't egg them on. In east Hesse that would drag that out untill they had evey interchangeble part listed...before anyone so much as cracked a smile... by the way can you flip flop the calipers from the a manta to the BMW too like in real life...???

So what your saying is, I can change the calipers from my Manta to my 535i? And vise versa? In real life of course. I'll have to check that out.
