Currently in Daytona Beach, FL working towards my Bachelor's in Aeronautical Sciences (Professional Pilot).
Not sure where to buy one, but here is a pretty long list of toy GT's , including several RC - see scales of 1/18 and larger:
OPEL GT TOY CARS
There are plenty of model cars on German Ebay - eBay: Neue und gebrauchte Elektronikartikel, Autos, Kleidung, Sammlerstücke, Sportartikel und mehr ? alles zu günstigen Preisen
Maybe you'll find a RC there.

Ive seen the list , that is where I saw a radio control one , but cant find one to purchase. Let me know how that comes out with placing model car shell on a rc
I thought a few years ago, there was someone on here making them???? I believe he was outside the U.S. Do a search....maybe it will come up.
What ...we got here...is........failure......................... to communicate....
Some men,you just cant reach...so you get what we had here last week...which is the way he wants it.
Well, he gets it...I dont like it, any more than you men...
I could build one if I had all the parts. I build lots of RC things for fun. Maybe I will give it a shot. I will take a look at the models and RC cars I can get that are that scale. What did you have in mind just something to tinker with or did you want it with some giddy-up?
There are some vintage Opel GT with cable controller in the scale 1/14, 1/16, 1/10, 1/12 and GFK or Lexan bodies in scale 1/12 and 1/10 which fits to a plain Tamiya R/C chassis. Some examples see attached
would appreciate the info, thankyou
Tamiya has a newer line of built radio control cars. A 1/10 scale M-03 ( Mini Cooper body) chassis worked perfectly with an old Carson Opel GT body.
Carson is still making these clear bodies with a thinner plastic. They are available on German Ebay. The Tamiya chassis with body can be purchased in the US. I bought mine on line.
If you are interested in the older cable controlled Opel GTs you can obtain them from someone in Europe. I know a very reliable person that frequently has them for sell or you can take your chances on Ebay.

the radio controled car , would that be without a cable?
would appreciate it if you ever see or can point me in right direction either from who you know or from ebay, cause I really dont know where to begin. thankyou
The Tamiya radio controlled car does not use a cable. The cable type cars were made in the 70's.
Here is a link to the one I am using.

Hi, I'm the one who makes the 1:10 fiberglass GT. In this thread ther is a link wher you can see this pic: http://members.aol.com/chrissiewert/bellen.jpg
The owner bought it as a kit from me. it's possible to make an RC GT. But it's made from fiberglass, it's more "fragile" as a lexan body.
Or try this link to a thread I added some time ago: http://www.opelgt.com/forums/models/...gt-models.html
My own RC attempt 13 years ago:
This model is about 43 cm long, made of fiberglass and the windows are made with a lexan related material. I also make an interior and an original bottom for the body. With this interior there will be no space left for RC components. All handmade;designed/moulded/laminated.
Whatch my pics at Flickr.com, not only GT's!
