My next Opel scale model project....
![]() I'm thinking of doing it up as a current day parts chaser for an Opel repair shop rather then in WWII livery. War surplus and still in use in 2009! ![]() I know Gene is into building kits and collecting diecasts too, but who else is? I've been at it since I was about 9 yrs old, so over 50 yrs.

Thanks. Yes. The Blitz truck is a Heller 1/35th scale plastic kit I did this past week and the Manta was a Norev 1/18 scale dicast model I disasembled two weeks ago, repainted to look more like my real Manta and put back together. I still have to dissasemble the Manta again to clear coat the new silver base coat but wanted to be sure it looked correct before final assembly.
![]() Thinking of doing one of the OGTS plastic kit 1/25 scale GT's in the future, but can't decide on the color. Any recommendations?

I bough one of these Minichamps 2dr 1/43 scale Ascona 2drs. in the exact
red color my 1975 was in. So really only the small bumpers and wheels are incorrect. http://www.diecasts.biz/images/M/400/045800.jpg I've bought all the Manta A and Ascona by Minichamps from Diecast Model Cars, 1/43, 1/18, 1/24 scale EWA, Car Books, Car Videos, Car Magazines at EWAcars and also the Ocker 1/18 Manta. The Formerly green and now silver Norev Manta I bought from: http://www.modelenium.co.uk/models/O...NOR183630.aspx He has several other Opel model hard to buy stateside and is easy to deal with with exchange rates, credit cards, and shipping. The Schuco 1/43 scale gold GT I bought from OGTS. The Minichamps and Schucos are both high quality but somewhat pricy models but you won't be dissappointed in the detail for 1/43 scale. The 1/35 scale Blitz truck I bought over 20 years ago and don't recall from where. It pops up on ebay now and then as do the other Opel models if you patient.
