Save the Manta

The list of cars that is under consideration for [expungement in] 2008 is as follows:

FP: Dodge Omni, Fiat 124 Sport Spider and Coupe, Ford Escort, Opel Manta, Porsche 924, Sunbeam Alpine and Toyota
Corolla 2TC.

If you are running, plan on runing, thinking about running, wishing you could run a Manta in FP, please send in a letter. Don't let the Manta be stricken from the books.

Greg, you might try to contact FPManta59, he has his old ITB Manta in a state of flux right now, can't be run in ITB anymore, hasn't fully committed to FP yet however.

Bob, I will leave him a PM, do you have any other contact info? I hate it when the SCCA does this. I think Ken and I are the only ones running Opels in Prod anymore, and my car is not likely to hit the track till July.

Visit the scca website http://scca.org/ and click on the link in the lower left hand corner "Questions: Ask the National Staff?".

In so many words ask them if you can run your Opel Manta in SCCA events.
